Beirut Garden: Authentic Middle Eastern Cuisine in Southgate

Lunch time and I'm Downriver again, Southgate today. (I'm still finding new cities. This area is huge, I love it!) The gentleman at the counter was extremely pleasant, patient and very helpful to the lady in front of me who was placing a to-go order. Ordering from a big, well-laid out menu, I went with the Shish Kabob from the Lunch Specials ($12) on the back today. Lentil soup (my new favorite) & rice as sides. The fresh, hot pita & garlic spread could be a meal unto itself. Then the soup arrives. Hot, nicely seasoned with two lemon wedges. A nice twist (sorry for the pun) and it adds a good flavor to it. The entree arrives looking almost too good to eat. Grill marks on all the vegetables, the presentation is tremendous. The rice is perfect: light, fluffy, delicately seasoned. The peppers grilled exactly right. There was one small mistake: I thought I ordered the lamb but got the chicken. Not an issue, I was torn between the two anyway and it was superb. Tender, juicy, fantastic. (I'm running out of superlatives.) This is definitely, as far as I'm concerned, the best Middle Eastern restaurant in the area. If it can be beaten, I'll be amazed.

Amazing Lebanese food! Tasted GREAT! Ahmed did a wonderful job serving our table! They gave us an appetizer of pita and garlic dip and then brought our salads out. We hadn’t even finished eating the salads when they brought our shawarmas out. Very good service. The shawarma were amazing and the baklava was amazing as well! Definitely recommend!

Ordering catering for my baby shower, food was absolutely amazing! Everyone LOVED it!! Will definitely be my goto for any future events! Not only was it a huge the amount of food, but great price too. The staff was so nice in helping us determine how much of what to order!!

Had great food and service. I ordered a veggie sampler and a shish tawook dinner. The bread was super tasty, fresh, and hot. Creamy smooth hummus that was tasty. The garlic sauce was not over powered. The chicken was tender and juicy, not dried out. Overall great experience Definitely come back to try more. Been back here 4 times since my first review and my entire family loved everything. They were kind of mad I didn't turn them onto this place sooner.

I've been wanting to try this for awhile now and I'm soo happy I did. I know someone from Lebanon so i wanted to get a taste of what they eat , so good!!

I visited Birute Garden and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant was very clean, and the staff showed great respect while taking my order. The waiting time was reasonable, and the food arrived exactly when they said it would. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, and I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food to enjoy with family.

My wife and I are from out of town and a friend recommended Beruit Gardens for dinner. I have to say that was the best recommendation ever! The Chicken Shawarma Sandwich was to die for and the garlic butter was the bomb!! My wife got the Shish Tawook and Fattoush salad. It was so delicious and the portion was perfect for sharing we had to take home leftovers. Not that leftovers are a problem. I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant for your next cheat day or night out!!!

From the moment the bread gets to the table, you’ll do nothing but smile and be happy. This place rules! The most legitimate Lebanese food I’ve had since being in Beirut years ago.
